When a logging project is complete, the landowner or logging company can be left with tons of slash to dispose of. The only choice up until now has been the piling and burning of the slash. This can cost thousands of dollars in labor and equipment costs, delay replanting and require hard to get burning permits.
FSR LLC can come and mulch the logging slash without the need for piling. When we are finished the site is left clean and ready to plant. The biomass is left on the site where it belongs, acting as a barrier against soil erosion and serving as a future nutrient source for the forest.
During the slash reduction process, stumps can be ground down if desired. Non-merchantable trees and brush left standing by the logger can be taken down and mulched.
